We can provide @2equal1.com email addresses for anyone involved with the ministry. In fact we encourage anyone who has a regular need to send emails on behalf of the ministry to have an @2equal1.com email address. Having an @2equal1.com email address helps present a single worldwide corpororate identity to the people making enquiries about the ministry. Generally, those who have one of these email addresses are: people who work with one of the centralised offices; those who oversee international regions; nations; US regions, States or Cities; those who frequently contact people by email on behalf of the ministry.
If you need one of our email addresses then please email roy.hitchman@2equal1.com explaining the capacity in which you operate on behalf of 2=1. |
Before giving you this information we want you to think about the way you wish to use email in the future. In the past using email client applications (like Outlook or Eudora) was often the best way to go with the alternative web-based email access looking unresponsive or even dated. Today web-based email access carries a lot of benfits over using a local email client. These benefits can be found in another FAQ "I have an @2equal1.com email account. What ways are available to me to access my email?" by clicking here.
If however, after reviewing the benefits ofaccessing your email via the internet, you still want to use your email client thne the information you require can be found by following this link.

There 2 main ways to access your email.
Traditionally people have used an email client application (such as Outlook or Eudora) to access their email and store the mail locally on their own computer. There are a few drawbacks with this approach:
- The email client application needs to be set up correctly to retrieve email from the email server and send via the 2=1 email server. Instructions on how to do this can be found by clicking here.
- Email is stored on the local machine making it vulnerable to hard drive crashes or local machine issues unless the data is regularly backed-up to an external hard drive.
- Previously received emails can only be reviewed on the computer to which the data has been stored unless the email server has been instructed to keep a copy of each email on it.
- When your computer is replaced, care needs to be taken to make sure that all of your emails are transfered to the new computer.
An alternative to using a local email client is to access email using your internet browser. Your @2equal1.com email account can be accessed from this webpage: http://mail.google.com/a/2equal1.com.
There are several benefits to using internet or web-based access to your email account.
- Your email is stored centrally on google mail's servers and are therefore accessible via internet from anywhere in the world.
- Your emails are not vulnerable to local computer or hard drive failures.
- Your emails are backed up regulary by google.
- Your emails are available even after replacing your computer without the need to copy the data files used by a local email client from the old to your new computer.
- 2=1 uses google mail (also known as gmail) to provide our @2equal1.com email addresses. Our email accounts have google apps activated. This means that anyone with a 2=1 email address has several collaboration tools available to them. Using these tools we are able real time chat, share and collaborate on the same document at the same time, share and compare calendars, and use and maintain task lists, to name a few of the applications available.
