ONE FOR LIFE

MEETING FORMAT

Each One for Life group has 4-5 student couples, one leader couple and one leader-in-training couple. The group meets weekly at a pre-arranged time and run for about 2 hours. Meetings include:

  • Praise and worship
  • Teaching on finances and free-will offering
  • Individual sharing from previous week's homework
  • New lesson taught by leaders or leaders-in-training



DETAILED COURSE CONTENTS


ONE COMES BEFORE TWO...
...addresses past hurts and unforgiveness that hinder wholeness. Individuals are encouraged to consider their personal destiny.

YOUR DESTINY TOGETHER...
...points couples to an understanding of covenant relationship and how that impacts their commitment and trust with each other.

FREEDOM FROM THE PAST...
...brings insight into past relationships, initiating dialogues between couples and enable each person to work towards personal wholeness.

THE TRUTH ABOUT INTIMACY...
...presents principles in communication, as well as bringing to light the different areas of intimacy within marriage.

FAMILY LIFE PATTERNS...
...helps individual recognize and work through generational patterns as well as issues arising from family upbringing.

LEARNING TO LIVE TOGETHER...
...discusses Biblical perspectives of roles within marriage, as well as the process of coming to agreement as husband and wife.

COVENANT RELATIONSHIP...
...brings couples to an understanding of covenant relationship and how that impacts their commitment and trust with each other.

PRACTICAL PLANNING...
...an interactive session where couples will learn key financial concepts and discuss with each other issues such as careers, financial planning, childrearing and housing.
