Learning from the experiences of others is the smart way to go. Thing is it’s difficult to get a window in on the marriage experience of others. That’s what I love about the ‘Married for Life’ course, biblical principles for marriages mixed with the experiences of others on how to apply them. Somehow I need that. Knowing the principles alone doesn’t do it, they have to be applied and that’s the hard part. Hearing how others apply them helps, and the results on their marriage is encouraging. Of course it’s not all pain-free, applying principles that make your marriage better means changing something about yourself, not your husband or wife!
